Background

Technology-enhanced teaching and learning refers to the enhancement of all aspects of teaching and learning processes via the integration of technology, which is a vibrant area of interest in Higher Education. The unique challenges of Transnational Education (TNE) (e.g. time zone, location and language) and the changing global environment make it more than ever important for us to find the best ways to use technology to support teaching and learning.

Aims

The one day conference aims to attract participants involved in STEM subjects in TNE from the UK and China. The conference will highlight some of the challenges and opportunities that technologies bring to TNE, identify and analyse relevant pedagogic approaches within the context of using technologies and seek evidence-based practices.

Conference themes and structure

The main theme of the conference is Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning and the two forums have sub-themes, Teaching and Learning Environment and Graduate Attributes. The main conference features a programme of keynote speakers, oral presentations and poster exhibitions. The conference also features two forums in Beijing and London, with oral presentations and panel discussions.
