The BUPT-QMUL Teaching and Learning Centre hosted a QMUL TNE workshop "Challenges and solutions of STEM education during a global pandemic" on 18th January. All three UK-China TNE programmes in QMUL participated in the workshop.
Audiences from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) and Nanchang University (NCU) joined the workshop online.
Prof Yan Chen, Director of International Office of BUPT delivered a welcome address and opened the workshop. Nine speakers from QMUL and our partner Chinese institutions shared their best practice and pedagogy research to address issues faced during the global pandemic. Participants discussed the challenges and opportunities in shaping the future of UK-China TNE. Dr Michael Chai, Director of BUPT-QMUL joint programme, wrapped up the workshop and thanked the committee members from BUPT and QMUL for organising the workshop. Dr Ling Ma, Deputy Director of the BUPT-QMUL Teaching and Learning Centre said: "This workshop is a great success and we will make it a regular event to promote excellence in teaching and learning and build a network for more collaborations".
