The BUPT-QMUL Teaching and Learning Centre (JTLC) hosted its annual workshop on the 23rd of January under the theme “Scholarship Projects in STEM Transnational Education - Showcasing Developments, Facilitating Collaboration, and Driving Impact,” with over 100 enthusiastic participants joining both in person and online from QMUL, BUPT, Glasgow, Sussex, Lancaster, and Southampton.
Prof Wen Wang, Vice Principal, and Executive Dean for Science and Engineering at QMUL welcomed a senior delegation from BUPT led by Prof Hongxiang Sun, Vice President of BUPT. Prof Wang and Prof Sun delivered a welcome address and opened the workshop.
The workshop commenced with TNE educational scholarship strategic development and showcased 19 ongoing educational scholarship projects. Participants enjoyed the opportunity to engage in discussions at six focused roundtable sessions. The day was filled with inspiration and fantastic conversations. The workshop has created a fantastic platform for promoting educational scholarship and exploring further opportunities for collaboration.
Prof Michael Chai, Director of JP/JEI, and Prof Yue Chen, Director of Scholarship, wrapped up the workshop and expressed their gratitude to all participants and organizers. Dr Ling Ma, Director of JTLC and workshop chair, thanked the committee members and said, “The event is a huge success and we are looking forward to having more strategic collaboration on scholarship development.”
