EECS Industry/Academia Talk on Personalised Healthcare

We are delighted to invite you to a talk on Personalised Healthcare, with perspectives from both academia and industry and an opportunity to join in the conversation over the selected topic.

 

Over 90mn, the following speakers will discuss their work and take questions:

  • Dr. Akram Alomainy, Reader at EECS, on smart health monitoring solutions and biomedical research;
  • Dr. Victor Higgs, director of Applied Nanodetectors, on current technologies and what the future looks like, implications for R&D (http://www.applied-nanodetectors.com);
  • Mr. Kalon Hewage and Dr. Sam Fosker from CUSH, on developing an AI-assisted remote monitoring and telehealth platform to predict and prevent deterioration in the elderly. (https://www.cushhealth.com)
  • Professor Richard Ashcroft - Former QMUL School of Law, now at City University - on legal and ethical implications of personalised healthcare.

The event will be introduced by Prof Steve Uhlig, Head of School, and chaired by Prof Sean Gong, chair of the EECS Industrial Board.

The purpose of this event is to offer a space for knowledge sharing between the EECS research community, our industry partners, and guests.
