The IGGI Centre for Intelligent Games and Game Intelligence conference is your annual game research download from 60+ PhD students and researchers at York, QMUL, Goldsmiths and Essex Universities.
We are delighted to invite you to the fourth annual IGGI Symposium, to be held at Queen Mary, University of London, on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th September 2018. This event will introduce you to the developments in the exciting work of our students, and provide a route for engagement between the Games Industry and Academia. Registration for the Symposium will open at 09:30 and the main event will run from 10:30 to 18:20, with a drinks reception and poster session to end the day from 18:20 to 20:00. Tickets are free, but limited!
The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Intelligent Games and Game Intelligence (IGGI) (www.iggi.org.uk) is a £12 million collaboration between the University of York, the University of Essex, and Goldsmiths & Queen Mary, University of London. The IGGI programme will train 61 PhD students over a period of 8 years, in close collaboration with the UK games industry. IGGI aims to revolutionise the UK games industry by providing early access to cutting-edge research and excellent students for placements. In addition, IGGI PhDs work with the games industry to investigate how games can be used to achieve new goals for science and society.

Wednesday 12th will start at 10:30, with an introduction to IGGI, keynote speakers, IGGI students wowing you during the IGGI Buzz to introduce their research and our established students presenting their work in more detail. In the evening, we will celebrate with a drinks reception and the IGGI students’ poster presentations.
Thursday 13th September, will start at 9:30 and the day will feature more excellent keynote speakers, IGGI students presenting their fascinating work, and the chance to try out some of their demos.
