This January, Dr. Yuanwei Liu, Senior Lecturer in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, was named as an AAIA Fellow
Dr Yuanwei Liu was recently named Fellow of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA). The AAIA is an academic, non-profit and non-governmental organisation comprised of more than 1,500 academicians worldwide. AAIA fellows are the top researchers, scientists, and entrepreneurs working in AI-related fields. As fellows, they work to promote the development and application of AI through academic research, academic exchanges, science education, science exhibitions, academic conferences, academic publications, summer/winter camps, and other activities.
Commenting on his fellowship, Dr Liu stated: "I am honoured to be recognized as an AAIA fellow. The fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning have proven to be pivotal in advancing next-generation wireless communications, which is the main motivation to launch my SmarT communicAtions Research (STAR) lab. Moving forward, my team and I are eager to persist in the development of cutting-edge and intelligent wireless solutions for 6G and beyond."
Dr Liu is Principal Investigator of STAR LAB@QMUL and a Fellow of the IEEE.
