Mazharia Rahman has recognised for her work as a Finance Assistant by being placed on the list of 101 Jobs That Change the World by UK Research and Innovation, a Government public body that directs research and innovation funding, and aims to build a thriving, inclusive research and innovation system.
Their list of 101 Jobs That Change the World aims to highlight some of the many roles that contribute to the success of the research and innovation system. Whilst research and innovation needs a diverse range of researchers and innovators, it also requires many other skills and talents to drive progress and foster the world-class innovation system the UK needs.
As a Finance Assisant working in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, Mazharia's work plays a crucial role in scientific research. Mazharia works closely with researchers to keep them up to date on the finances of a project, helping to ensure funding is not wasted and allowing researchers to focus on their projects.
