Computer Science at the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, Queen Mary University of London is ranked in the top ten, with an overall student satisfaction rate of 93 per cent, according to the latest results of a nationwide poll of final-year undergraduates.
The 2013 National Student Survey (NSS) questioned UK undergraduates on various aspects of their student experience, including their overall satisfaction. The NSS results show that students from the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science:
Professor Mark Sandler, Head of School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary, welcomed the result:
“These results reflect the School’s dedication to the continual improvement of our students’ experience. Witnessing an 8 per cent increase in our students’ overall satisfaction over the last three years, I am pleased to see how many students appreciate the quality of our undergraduate programmes and focus on teaching excellence. We continually seek ways to build upon this success, from our recent £2m investment in School facilities and the strong focus we place on student employability and entrepreneurship with our links with Tech City and our Industrial Placements Programme. Spurring innovation by collaboration is one of the School’s core beliefs, so we are delighted to have been able to further extend the reach of our research expertise to undergraduates with the introduction of our BSc(Eng) Media and Arts Technology Programme with Industrial Experience. Working with students, we will keep striving to find ways to ensure our all-round students’ experience is not only challenging and invigorating but as fulfilling and enriching as possible.”
