Dr Sebastian EwertHonorary LecturerEmail: s.ewert@qmul.ac.ukTelephone: +44 20 7882 8287Website: http://www.eecs.qmul.ac.uk/~ewerts/ResearchResearchResearch Interests:I am a researcher in the fields of Semantic Audio Analysis, Machine Listeningand Informed Signal Processing. That means that my PhD students and I togetherdevelop novel methods integrating concepts from machine learning, signal processing, statistical modelling, numerical optimization and manyother fields. We apply our methods to audio and music data - see here a fewexample applications. My background is in Computer Science and Mathematics. I did a PhD in ComputerScience at the University of Bonn, Germany, which was supervised at theMax-Planck-Institute for Informatics, SaarbrΓΌcken, Germany. Currently, I am alecturer in signal processing in the School of Electronic Engineering andComputer Science at Queen Mary University of London, conducting researchwithin the Centre For Digital Music (C4DM) in the programme Fusing AudioAnd Semantic Technologies (FAST). Further, I am one of the academicleaders of the Machine Listening Lab at QMUL.
