Yang XiaProfileProfileYang Xia is Associate Professor of Law at Beijing Normal University and a Visiting Scholar in Columbia University, USA, and Warsaw University, Poland. He has a PhD in Jurisprudence and his research and teaching focus on Comparative Property Law, (Comparative) Intellectual Property Law, Legal History and Legal Theory. He has been distinguished for his contribution to and excellence in teaching, having received multiple awards, including: the Excellent Teacher of Law School award (2008, 2011); the Excellent Instructor award (2008); and the Outstanding Graduate Teaching award (2009). Also, Yang Xia is a lecturer for the USA’s People to People Organization which aims to explain Chinese law and policy to US lawyers and scholars. Finally, he co-leads the ‘Social change and Reformation of Chinese Law’ project, a significant research project of the PRC’s National Ministry of Education.Research
