Time: 6:45amVenue: Octagon, Queens' Building, Mile End
The next College Guest Night will be held in the Octagon, Queens’ Building, Mile End on 11 June at 7:30 pm. It will take the usual form of a formal dinner in the Octagon preceded by drinks at 6:45 pm in the Senior Common Room, Queens Building.
As you will be aware, the current Chair of Council Dr Colette Bowe will be retiring in August. Therefore the evening will also be one of many opportunities to say farewell to Colette. We will also be inviting Honorary Fellows to the Dinner.
The occasion is open to all members of staff and Council and their guests, who may be colleagues from other universities, industrial sponsors, external contacts, friends or members of family. It is a pleasant, relaxed occasion and presents an opportunity to introduce people to the College, repay hospitality and meet colleagues from other disciplines. Please consider coming - with or without a guest.
Guests are seated with their hosts and every effort is made to ensure a suitably convivial table. Coffee will be served informally after the meal to allow guests a further opportunity to mingle.
If you wish to be seated with a particular group or department please indicate this on your booking form. Please note that in order to allow the maximum number of individuals to attend we must initially limit ‘departmental’ bookings to four guests (plus Head of Department). Depending on demand we may not be able to accept all bookings.
Tickets cost £30 per person, and must be purchased using the
As this event has now become very popular, please contact Leigh Ward to ensure that places are still available. Before completing the booking form, please ensure that your guest are able to attend. A formal invitation card will then be sent to you and to your guests.
