The Learning Institute has organized the 3rd annual Queen Mary ellowship Day for new academics, postdoctoral researchers and final year PhDs (5th May 2011). Last year more than 100 participants from across the College attended this event, which provided an unprecedented opportunity for researchers to learn more about fellowship schemes designed to support the development of future independent researchers.
This year the following funding bodies have confirmed their participation:AHRC, BBSRC, EPSRC, MRC, STFC, The British Academy, The Leverhulme Trust, The British Heart Foundation & The Wellcome Trust.
The Principal (Prof. Simon Gaskell) will open this event and the plenary talk ‘Research Proposals with Excellence and Impact’ will be delivered by Dr Susan Morrell (EPSRC). This will be followed by three parallel streams with talks from various funding bodies about their specific Fellowship schemes.
