Time: 6:00 - 11:00pm Venue: Barts & the London Medical School, Pathology Museum, 3rd Floor Robin Brook Centre, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, West Smithfield, EC1A 7BE
Barts Pathology Museum in the City of London makes for a suitably creepy venue for this UK exclusive presentation on the life and career of legendary horror film icon Vincent Price, given by his daughter, Victoria Price, followed by a screening of the cult 1970 British sci-fi horror Scream and Scream Again, which also features our very own horror kings, Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.
Foodie folks at Silver Screen Suppers will be on hand to serve up a selection of some specially-themed gourmet treats.
A limited edition poster designed and signed by British graphic artist Graham Humphreys will be available to purchase at a special price ONLY at this event.
In this talk, Vincent Price’s daughter (author of Vincent Price: A Daughter’s Biography) relates stories from her father’s life that have inspired her to continue sharing both his cinematic legacy and his passionate philosophy of life. Accompanied by family photographs from her personal collection, rare film and home movie clips, Victoria takes her audience beyond Vincent Price’s public persona to an intimate glimpse at her father’s omnivorous appetite for life, his immense generosity of spirit and his daily practice of joyful curiosity. From his early career to his iconic horror roles, from his advocacy of the visual arts to his groundbreaking cookbooks, Vincent Price showed us all how to live our lives to the fullest. After all, as he said, ‘When you limit your interests, you limit your life!’ This talk will be a London exclusive.
