The Financial Management team is responsible for providing financial information, insight and decision support across the university. The team has a key role in the setting and monitoring of annual budgets and financial plans and maintains up-to-date in-year financial forecasts and monthly management accounts for all areas of the university, including capital. The team works closely with management teams across Faculties, Schools and Institutes and Professional Services and provides regular and ad-hoc reports to SET and Finance and Investment Committee. The team leads on the financial components of business cases and on the preparation of a number of statutory returns to the Office for Students and Research England, including the Annual Financial Return, TRAC and Capital Monitoring.
