Imaobong Umoren is a DPhil student in the faculty of history, University of Oxford. She is currently writing a thesis that explores how the global travel of a group of black women intellectuals from the English and French speaking African diaspora shaped the dimensions of their lives, thought, and activism in different ways between the 1920s and 1960s. Her research interests include the study of the African diaspora, African, Caribbean and black women’s intellectual history in the long twentieth century.
