Upcoming Ceremonies

We run a large number of graduation ceremonies throughout the year for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

There are three graduation periods each year and we strive to release the dates and times of each ceremony at least two to three months before each ceremony period. 

Winter graduation (December and January) 

  • Primarily for September intake postgraduate students and postgraduate research students. 
  • Postgraduate research students will need to have been awarded between April and August.
  • Undergraduate students who have completed summer re-sits and students who have deferred are also invited to join these ceremonies. 
  • Winter Graduations (December 2024/January 2025): Graduation Ceremonies will be taking place on 16-18 December 2024 and 6-8 January 2025

Spring graduation (April)

Primarily for January intake postgraduate students and postgraduate research students. 

Students eligible to attend April ceremonies must either: 

  • Be on a January start postgraduate taught programme 
  • Be a postgraduate research student (e.g. PhD) or deferred student from one of the following schools– provided they have been awarded between September and January:
    • School of Business and Management
    • School of Economics and Finance 
    • School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science 
    • Centre for Commercial Law Studies 
    • William Harvey Research Institute 
    • Institute of Health Sciences Education  

Summer graduation (July)

  • Bookings for the July ceremonies have now closed, if you missed your chance to book please use the deferral form here
  • Primarily for undergraduate students and postgraduate research students. 
  • Postgraduate research students will need to have been awarded between September and March
  • Students who have completed re-sits and students who have deferred are also invited to join these ceremonies.
