You are invited to participate in this symposium on James Tullys Public Philosophy in a NewKey (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2008), which has been organized by RichardBourke, Joel Isaac and Quentin Skinner under the auspices of the Centre for the Study of theHistory of Political Thought and the Department of History at Queen Mary, University ofLondon. The symposium will address different aspects of Tullys recent two-volume work inpolitical philosophy, focusing in particular on the themes of Democracy and Imperialism. Therewill be two short presentations in the morning and two short presentations in the afternoon.Presentations will be followed by open discussion.
