The QMUL Public History Unit present 'Portugal & the Agre of Discovery' with Roger Crowley.
This illustrated talk will explore the now largely overlooked contribution of the Portuguese to the ‘age of discovery’, forerunners in linking Europe to the wider world and creators of a long-range maritime empire that has had a profound influence on the world’s cultures, food, flora, art and languages, and the development of globalisation.
