On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Open City (journes du patrimoine), a documentary on the history of the architecture of the Institut francais du Royaume Uni will be screened at Cin Lumiere on the 23rd of September 2012 at 4 p.m. The film tells the story of the Art deco building, conceived by two architects, the French Patrice Bonnet and the English A.J.Thomas. It sheds line on several periods of the history of the building linked with changes in the conceptions of cultural diplomacy and the promotion of French culture in London.
The screening is free and open to any member of the public.
