The European Research Council (link is external) has awarded a grant of just under €259k for a three year collaborative training programme, run jointly by the School of History; Charles University, Prague; the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Lyon; the University of Siena; and the library of Klosterneuburg Monastery in Austria. The programme will support a series of one week, intensive training sessions for advanced students in medieval manuscripts and digital technologies.The Digital Editing of Medieval Texts is available to five MA or PhD students at QMUL. During the year-long programme, students will take part in three intensive one-week courses across Europe, taught by leading scholars in their fields, and develop their personal projects. At the end of each one-year programme, the students will begin practical work experience alongside developers, as they work on their own digital editions, leading to online publication
