Professor Christina von Hodenberg presents at the biannual German Historians' congress at the University of Goettingen (link is external). As part of a panel, Professor von Hodenberg discusses the meta-narrative of Germany's special path to modernity (Sonderweg). This panel will be one of the most high-profile, public events of the congress which honours Germany's most famous historian, Hans-Ulrich Wehler, who died this year, and was the main proponent of the Sonderweg argument.
