We are delighted to announce that Professor Sir Christopher Bayly will be joining us in September 2014.
Professor Bayly, of St Catherine’s College, Cambridge, is one of the world’s leading experts in imperial and global history. His most recent publications include The Birth of the Modern World (2004) and Recovering Liberties: Indian Thought in the Age of Liberalism and Empire (2011).
Professor Bayly will be co-convening an innovative new MA programme in Global and Imperial History, together with Professor Saul Dubow and Dr Kim A. Wagner. Starting in September 2014, this interdiscplinary MA will include contributions from Kate Lowe, Reuben Loffman, Bill Schwartz, James Dunkerley, Miles Ogborn, David Schalkwyk and Jerry Brotton.
