On retirement, I took an MA in Crusades History at QMUL/Royal Holloway. This was followed by a Doctorate in 2017, comprising an edition of John of Garland's De triumphis Ecclesie, now awaiting publication with translation. I published with Professor Jonathan Phillips, Caffaro, Genoa and the Twelfth-Century Crusades (2013).ResearchResearch Interests:I have currently a broad interest in medieval Latin translation and its historical context, including texts from the medieval universities, and documents about the status of the Jews in Poland.
