Fire Marshal - HS016
This non-accredited course is designed for QMUL staff to act in the role of Fire Marshals. The course will teach candidates about the causes and effects of fire and how it spreads. Fire Marshals are expected to act as eyes and ears within their workplace by identifying potential fire hazards, carrying out regular checks, reporting defects and assisting in the evacuation of occupied buildings.
Duration: 2.5 hours

Certification: A certificate will be issued once delegates successfully complete the knowledge test which is valid for 2 years.
Suitability: For staff who have volunteered, or who have been nominated, to undertake the role of Fire Marshal at the University.
Requalification / Refresher: Fire Marshal Refresher Training must be repeated every 2 years.
