Life after Queen Mary

A degree in Psychology equips you with a diverse skill set that’s valuable in a wide range of careers. You’ll be able to apply your knowledge of human behaviour – as well as the research and analytical skills you’ll develop – to any number of challenges in your working life.

Our Psychology graduates have a strong employment record and many apply their subject knowledge directly to clinical psychology, teaching, counselling or lab work, while others transfer the skills they’ve gained into sectors such as marketing, HR, finance or technology.

Recent graduates of our BSc Psychology programme have been hired by employers including Barts Health Trust, the Burgess Autistic Institute, the African Health Policy Clinic and Easy Steps ABA Services for Autism. Their job titles include Assistant Technologist (Mental Health), Student Health Psychologist and Clinical Trials Practitioner.

It’s also common for our Psychology graduates to progress to further study – some recent alumni are now studying MSc Mental Health Studies, MSc Management and Human Resources and MSc Clinical Criminology.

Wherever your next steps take you, you’ll be fantastically placed with a variety of sought-after skills and knowledge. 93% of the School's undergraduate programme's graduates are in employment/or study six months after graduating.
