As part of the project Barrio Saldías: Visibility, Representation, and Upgrading in an Informal Neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, financed by the Queen Mary Impact Fund, we are delighted to host the UK premiere for the documentary This Is My Home (Esta es mi casa).
This screening takes place in the context of celebrating 40 years of the return to democracy in Argentina, for which we are honoured to be hosting the Argentine Ambassador Javier Figueroa, who will be welcomed by several representatives from across the Queen Mary University of London.
The documentary was developed by our project partner Roca Museum together with the community of Barrio Saldías in Buenos Aires, placing emphasis on the founding families of the settlement, and the deeply rooted rapport between the community and the development of the Argentine railway system.
After the screening, there will be time for a Q&A and to add to the ongoing conversations happening around housing demands.
