All-day workshop with lunch for PGRs and other researchers
This workshop will combine talks and hands-on sessions to enable PGRs and other researchers to develop their understanding and use of creative visual methodologies, including zine making and videographic criticism (video essays). As well as addressing the possibilities and challenges that these methods present, the organisers will also consider how zines and video essays can be developed into research outputs that permit alternative forms of engagement with different audiences.
The speakers are Professor Catherine Grant (Independent Video-Artist Scholar) and Dr Andrea Aramburú Villavisencio (IASH Postdoctoral Fellow, University of Edinburgh).
If you would like to register your interest in participating, please fill in this form by 18:00 on Friday, 10 May 2024. Organisers will confirm participation by 15 May 2024 at the latest.
