Bienvenido!

Queen Mary University of London has a long history of welcoming students from around the world. Over the years, many thousands of international students have graduated from the university and gone on to pursue successful careers. Today, we are home to students from more than 162 different countries and over 45% of our student body come from outside of the UK. This diversity contributes to a lively and welcoming community which should make you feel comfortable and at home.

We are one of the largest colleges of the University of London and one of the few with fully integrated teaching, research and residential facilities. Our setting provides our students with the benefits of both a large campus environment, and the countless academic and social opportunities provided by London.

Entry requirements

Foundation programmes

Applicants who have taken the Titulo de Bachiller may be considered for entry onto a foundation programme at Queen Mary.

For information on applying to study a foundation course at Queen Mary, please refer to English language and foundation courses.

Undergraduate

The standard school leaving certificate Titulo de Bachiller is considered comparable to GCSE (grades A*-C) and does not therefore meet the requirements for direct entry to a degree level programme. To be considered, students must successfully complete a foundation programme.

If you have studied the International Baccalaureate or another international qualification, please refer to the prospectus and department websites for individual subject requirements.

Applications for undergraduate degrees in the UK are made through the UCAS system, information on the procedure can be found in Undergraduate Study. Information on applying directly to Queen Mary for a place on an undergraduate or a foundation course should be made through our Admissions Office admissions@qmul.ac.uk.

Postgraduate

Information on the comparability of international qualifications can be found on the Entry Requirements section under the listings for each programme in the course finder. Please note this information is only intended as a guide as the final decision on equivalency of overseas qualifications will be made by the Admissions Office at Queen Mary.

Juan Ignacio Aguirre

LL.M. in Energy and Natural Resources Law

The LLM in Energy and Natural Resources Law is a global top-tier masters degree in the energy law field. Professors are experienced academics and practising lawyers with a solid background in all the segments of the energy value chain. The seminars are intensive, and the experiences of students from all over the world create truly interesting debates. After class, a wide arrange of academic activities in top-tier law firms and companies of London are offered to complete the full-time experience. QMUL offer several specializations in law, which is fantastic to be able to choose the modules that are more convenient for the lawyer’s CV and career. I would recommend any Argentinean to analyse the content of modules and professors and make a good choice of the study plan.

I’ve really enjoy Queen Mary’s open-minded approach to the rest of the cultures in the world. Also, the modern vision that the university in a whole has to the current hot topics of the world. Its openness to receive cultures from different parts of the world is key to the exchange of opinions that are developed in class.

I have visited London several times prior to start studying here. But was when I started living in London that I realized that is the best city in the world. I love the culture of progress, rewards based on merits, and mentality of always keeping on forward, despite of anything that happen. I found British people to be open-minded and helpful, and open to new progressive thinking minds.
