How to apply

Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications. For individual grade requirements for particular degree programmes please refer to the undergraduate study section of this website. 

We also consider students from Lithuania with the following qualifications:

  • Brandos Atestatas (Certificate of Maturity)

This is Queen Mary’s equivalency table for GCE A-Levels and the Lithuanian Brandos Atestatas:

95% in three State Matura subjects, plus 9/10 as an average in the School Matura exams 90% in three State Matura subjects, plus 9/10 as an average in the School Matura exams 88% in three State Matura subjects, plus 9/10 as an average in the School Matura exams 85% in three State Matura subjects, plus 9/10 as an average in the School Matura exams 83% in three State Matura subjects, plus 9/10 as an average in the School Matura exams

Please note, the Brandos Atestatas is not accepted for admission to either our MBBS or BDS programmes delivered in London (but it is accepted for all other undergraduate programmes). However, the Brandos Atestatas is accepted for admission to our MBBS programme delivered in the Republic of Malta

We normally consider the following qualifications for entry to our postgraduate taught programmes: Bachelor Degree (minimum 180 ECTS credits) from a recognised institution.

UK 1st class degree: 9.5 out of 10
UK 2:1 degree: 8 out of 10
UK 2:2 degree: 7 out of 10
