Details on how to apply for undergraduate courses

How to apply

Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications. For individual grade requirements for particular degree programmes please refer to the undergraduate study section of this website.

We also consider students from the Netherlands with the following qualifications:

  • Voorbereidend Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs (VWO) 

This is Queen Mary’s equivalency table for GCE A-Levels and the VWO:

Undergraduate Medicine and Dentistry Admissions

Please note, the VWO is not accepted for admission to either our MBBS or BDS programmes (but is accepted for all other undergraduate programmes). However, the VWO is accepted for our MBBS programme delivered in the Republic of Malta

We normally consider the following qualifications for entry to our postgraduate taught programmes: Bachelor Degree from a recognised institution.

UK 1st class degree: 8 out of 10
UK 2:1 degree: 7 out of 10
UK 2:2 degree: 6 out of 10
