Details on how to apply for undergraduate courses

How to apply

Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications. For individual grade requirements for particular degree programmes please refer to the undergraduate study section of this website. 

We also consider students from Israel with the following qualifications:

  • Bagrut

This is Queen Mary’s equivalency table for the Bagrut:

A*AA equivalent AAA equivalent AAB equivalent ABB equivalent BBB equivalent Specific Grade Requirements
Award of the Bagrut with an overall average of 90%, and at least two subjects at unit level 5.  Award of the Bagrut with an overall average of 85%, and at least two subjects at unit level 5.  Award of the Bagrut with an overall average of 80%, and at least two subjects at unit level 5.  Award of the Bagrut with an overall average of 75% and at least two subjects at unit level 5.  Award of the Bagrut with an overall average of 70% and at least two subjects at unit level 5.  Schools will usually request grades in relevant subjects.

We normally consider the following qualifications for entry to our postgraduate taught programmes: Bachelor Degree from a recognised institution.

UK 1st class degree: 90%
UK 2:1 degree: 80%
UK 2:2 degree: 65%
