About 

Three options are available for this programme:

  • Spend a year at Monash Australian Campus 
  • Spend a year at Monash Malaysian Campus
  • Spend the first semester at Monash Australian Campus and the second semester at Monash Malaysian Campus, or vice versa.
  • If your degree programme allows it, you can also spend a semester only at Monash Malaysian Campus, or Monash Australian Campus 

Location

Bordering Thailand in the north, Singapore to the south, Indonesia to the south-east, Malaysia is located at the crossroads of Southeast Asia. As a result, the country’s mix of Malays, Chinese, Indians and Indigenous people has produced a society that is rich in traditional and modern influences, reflected in its many languages, religions and food options. Monash University in Malaysia is located in Sunway City, Kuala Lumpur, a safe and well-connected township where you’ll have everything you need within reach using the elevated pedestrian walkway or public transportation.

This is an approximation determined by the number of applications received for this destination during the last academic year versus the total number of exchange spaces available to Queen Mary students. 

Application process

Before you apply to come to Monash on exchange or study abroad, you should check that you meet the following entry requirements. You must:

  • have completed at least one full year at your home university;
  • have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 or 60 per cent or equivalent;
  • meet our English language requirements.
