Queen Mary University has worked with the below partner universities to secure tuition-free places for their summer schools. In the application form, you can also apply for GO Summer! funding (GO Summer! Bursary and if applicable, Turing Scheme funding) to support your participation. Applicants must follow the application instructions as detailed below on this webpage.
Click on the countries below to find out more about the 'package details' available for individual destinations, costs, and total potential maximum funding. Costs quoted do not include travel to/from the host country, so bear this in mind when budgeting (yet funding available from Queen Mary may offset this, so consult the available funding carefully as well).
Students qualifying in priority groups (1) or (2) are encouraged to apply as soon as possible as those applications will be reviewed and processed on a semi-rolling basis, periodically every 3 weeks (approximately) up through the deadline. Available tuition-free places and funding will be allocated throughout the application period to these students with successful applications.
Final application deadline: To be confirmed (estimated March 2025) (local UK time). Late/incomplete applications will not be considered.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at summerschool@qmul.ac.uk.
We have included estimated costs for each programme to help your decision making, listed in the local currency. Please note these costs are only estimates and may be subject to change depending on course availability, housing choices etc. We do not guarantee that these costs are inclusive of 100% of the costs you might incur; please ensure you have checked the partner's own summer school website (links are provided under each description) and perform your own cost calculations, also taking into mind additional costs you might have depending on your individual situation.
Total maximum potential funding available from Queen Mary for each opportunity is also provided as a guideline, to help you ascertain how affordable each opportunity might be for you, dependent on your circumstances and for which priority group you may qualify. Bear in mind that the timeline of receiving funding may not be aligned with when you may need to make a payment for any costs. Please contact summerschool@qmul.ac.uk with any concerns.
If and once you learn that your application is successful:
By submitting an application and if you are successful, you agree to follow the above procedure and understand that failure to do so may result in your conditional offer for the agreed tuition-free space and any associated funding being withdrawn.
You will be informed of the outcome of your application according to the selection timeline section on this page. If the GO team is unable to allocate you one of the available tuition-free spaces, we will contact you to inform you if funding remains for any other opportunities and/or to encourage you to consider any of the Additional opportunities eligible for funding.
Note: Only open to non-Chinese citizens and non-Chinese passport holders.
