Cyber Awareness Month

October marks Cybersecurity Awareness Month and Queen Mary University is hosting a range of events to help keep our community safe online. From expert-led workshops to hands-on training, these events will equip you with essential tools and knowledge to navigate the digital world securely.

Women in Cybersecurity workshop

  • Date and time: 17 October, 2pm – 3pm
  • Location: Bancroft 1.13 a

In this workshop, we will explore the possibilities presented to women who work in IT. We will discuss how women can drive innovation forward and pathways for female students interested in a career in tech and cybersecurity.

Film screening ‘Space Odyssey’ followed by a discussion on AI at the BLOC cinema

  • Date and time: 22 October, 5pm - 8pm
  • Location: BLOC Cinema, Arts One

Talk on the cybersecurity risks of AI with Graham Hosking from Quorum Cyber
