Researchers preparing grant bids are encouraged to contact ITS Research to assess their IT requirements. A DMP is a document that details how data are to be handled both during a research project and after the project is completed. Many funding bodies have made a DMP a mandatory requirement for research grant applications. The purpose of the DMP is to ensure that you have taken into account best practices associated with managing research data throughout the research lifecycle e.g. quality assurance, ethics, storage, security, archiving and sharing.The Library provides some additional information on Research Data Management.ITS Research encourages researchers and postgraduate students across all academic disciplines to formulate a DMP before the start of their research and to continue to develop it throughout their project.A good data management plan should:
