Service Description
We offer and support the following web applications developed by in-house teams.
Application Name |
Attendance Entry System Web app to manually record the attendance of students at teaching activities. Information entered into this application is fed into QEngage. |
Barcode Register System Web app to store and report on attendance of students recorded using hand-held barcode scanners or RFID proximity readers. |
Experts Guide Web app to record the expertise of academic staff at QMUL and to display this to interested parties on the University's public web site. |
Extract Service Web service to provide feeds of data from core systems (Student Records, HR, Timetabling) to people and systems. |
Fire Risk Assessment Web app to record the findings and recommendations arising from Fire Risk assessments and to record the actions taken to implement those recommendations. |
Gifts and Hospitality Register Web app to record gifts and hospitality received and given by QMUL staff. |
Teaching Timetable iCal Link Generator Web app to provide a personalised link to an iCal feed of staff teaching from the Scientia Enterprise system. |
Planning and Accountability Review (Faculty) Web app to record the progress academic schools and institutes are making towards achieving the university's strategic aims and the actions they have taken. |
Planning and Accountability Review (Professional Services) Web app to record the actions professional services departments are taking to achieve the university's strategic aims. |
Risk Register Web app to record the university's, schools', institutes' and departments' risks and the mitigations in place to reduce these risks. |
Staff Time Allocation Survey Web app to record the time academic staff spend on a range of activities. Used to provide data to the TRAC |
Subject Exam Board Reports Web app to generate reports to support the Subject Exam Boards held by schools. |
Taught Programmes Action Plans Web app to record the actions taken by schools to improve their taught programmes and the progress towards completing these actions. |
How To Request This Service
Self-service: Service Desk
Many of the applications are for specific groups of users and are not for general access. You may also need to gain permission from your school or the owner of the application to access the application.
Lead Time
Software Request should be made 5-10 working days in advance.
Cost
There is no cost associated with any of these applications.
Availability
Hours of Service: 24/7/365
Supported Monday to Friday 8am–6pm (excluding bank holidays and university closure days).
