Tactical Clinical Trials data storage

The purpose of the Tactical Clinical Trials Data Storage service is to provide the Heart Centre, part of the William Harvey Research Institute, and other Institutes with a secure facility for the storage of electronic trial data together with a remote access capability.

The facility, created by expanding the existing facilities of the Barts Cancer Institute (BCI), is expected to have a life of approximately two years. The service is intended to provide only a hosting service in which trials can operate their data management systems which can be created using a pre-defined set of software tools managed and supported by the BCI.

Standard Costs:

  • Initial set-up £6 per registered user
  • Maintenance and support £147 per registered user per annum
  • Data storage £0.34 (TBC) per GB of allocated storage per annum
