This is a web service that supports researchers in creating a Data Management Plan. Many RCUK funding agencies require a Data Management Plan in the technical appendix in grant applications/Je-S.
A Data Management Plan is a set of guidelines for managing the digital data that is accessed or generated in a research project, to ensure that the data can be retrieved and interpreted during and after the lifetime of the project. This service is maintained and managed by the Digital Curation Centre (DCC) and provides the template responses to most RCUK funders.
This tool assists in generating template answers for grant applications according to funder template answers. This service is available to research staff writing grant proposals, typically PI’s (principal investigators). It is also intended that post graduate researchers can use the tool to plan data management activities as a guide to best practise.
