GraphPad Prism

Description

GraphPad Prism is a scientific software used for data analysis, graphing, and statistical analysis. It is widely utilised by researchers, scientists, and clinicians to streamline their research workflow. 

Licensing

IT Services have recently consolidated GraphPad Prism licenses into one manageable group to reduce the price for each user. When purchased individually, licenses can cost the full price of $202 per person. IT Services are moving licenses into one manageable group, meaning that anyone wanting a license can get one at a lower price.  

If you currently have a GraphPad Prism license, please continue to use your license. When you are a month from renewal, please raise a request for GraphPad Prism through the IT Self-Service portal and provide the information below.

If you want to purchase GraphPad Prism for the first time, please raise a request for GraphPad Prism through the IT Self-Service Portal and provide the information below.

Please include the following information in your IT request:

  • Your full name
  • Your QMUL email address
  • Valid budget code 
  • Please specify if you are using a managed or self-managed machine
  • If this is for a managed machine, please provide the asset tag and computer name. The asset tag can be found underneath a laptop, or on the back of other devices. The computer name can be found by typing in 'about my PC' in the search bar.
  • Please specify if this is a Mac or Windows device.

Once IT Service Desk have all the necessary information, IT Business Management will obtain a quote from GraphPad Prism. You will then receive the quote to approve via your IT ticket. IT Business Management will recharge you using your budget code and place an order with the Supplier under the group license.  

Steps to install GraphPad Prism

Once you have followed the above steps, you will be able to install the software on your device. The process will vary depending on whether you are using a managed or self-managed device.

On a managed device

If you are using a managed device, IT Service Desk will deploy GraphPad Prism to your device.

Once deployed, GraphPad Prism will then appear in your Software Center. Please open Software Center and install GraphPad Prism. 

On a self-managed device

If you are using an self-managed device, IT Service Desk will forward you the license key and installation instructions. You can then follow the instructions below to install GraphPad Prism and insert the license key, granting you access to GraphPad Prism. 

You will be provided with the GraphPad Prism serial number.

Keep in mind that you must use your email address (the same one where you're receiving the instructions) when you activate Prism on your computer. 

Please note: a licence is valid for a single installation on a single computer. If you require the software to be installed on multiple computers, multiple licences must be purchased.
