The Management Board is the primary management body of the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre. It meets regularly and advises the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre Directors on the implementation of strategic and operational matters at the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre. It focuses in particular on risk management, and supporting performance and delivery across the range of activities engaged in by the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre. It reviews progress against agreed strategies and plans, funding and budget and advises on significant issues being managed by the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre Directors.
The purpose of the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre Advisory Board is to advise on the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre’s overall strategy and direction including new external developments; ensuring the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre continues to be at the cutting edge of clinical legal education, providing Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre graduates with the necessary skills relevant to a wide range of employment fields; ensuring the work of the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre complements and supports the objectives and work of the Queen Mary law department, in particular the developments of practice focused degrees and programmes, as well as developing links with the profession, the voluntary sector, and other stakeholders; to monitor progress on, and champion the work of the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre within, the Law Department and externally; advising on the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre’s external image, identity and positioning; and advising on fund-raising opportunities.
