'Does Hinduism exist?'

When: Monday, October 14, 2024, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Where: To be confirmed to registered attendees

The event will be a two person panel discussion between the guest speaker Dr Koenraad Elst and Dr Prakash Shah. The topic will involve discussion on whether Hinduism exists. The speakers will take opposing positions on the issue, with Dr Elst supporting the notion that Hinduism exists, while Dr Shah will atgue that it does not exist.

The discussion is intended to take up a question raised about the status of Hinduism in the research programme of SN Balagangadhara on the Comparative Science of Cultures at Ghent University, Belgium, which proposes that Hinduism does not exist as a phenomenon in the world or as part of the Indian culture.
