In 2012, following the launch of the Queen Mary University of London LLM in Paris, Prof. Loukas Mistelis (Director, School of International Arbitration, Centre for Commercial Law Studies, QMUL) and Julie Audoux (Attorney at the Paris Bar, QMUL alumna) co-founded Le Café Des Arbitres (LCDA). LCDA is a series of engaging conferences, conducted in English, supported by the School of International Arbitration, Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London. LCDA aims to offer a forum where students, academics, and practitioners, whether specialised or simply interested in arbitration, are able to share ideas freely, find answers to their questions, and learn about current issues in commercial and investment arbitration.
