'Artificial Intelligence and Corporate Governance'
This event will address issues around Artificial Intelligence (AI) decision-making technology in the context of corporate governance. It will look to the potential for a regulatory model that places public rather than private interest at the heart of AI regulation. The speakers will examine the influence of human design and impact behind AI technology on the nature of AI decision-making. They will explore ownership and control of companies developing AI, as well as discuss potential changes to corporate governance regulation, particularly of tech companies, whilst considering the merits of introducing public interest regulation.
Starting with a presentation on the topic by Queen Mary's Professor Alan Dignam, discussion will ensue, as moderated by Professor Jonathan Griffiths of CCLS, with Bertrand Delafaye from MWE, and Bruno Massot, General Counsel at IBM and Leader of the AFJE's Digital Taskforce. We anticipate lively debate also with members of the audience.
