The London Financial Regulation Seminar is an inter-collegiate and inter-disciplinary group of experts led by CCLS and our Institute of Banking and Finance under the leadership of Professor Rosa M. Lastra and Dr. Daniele D’Alvia.
On Tuesday 8 October, Mr. Marcelo Tavarone provided a special talk on project financing. Prof. Rosa M. Lastra chaired the event.
Mr. Marcelo Tavarone is a Partner at Tavarone, Rovelli, Salim & Partners in Argentina. He has more than 20 years' experience in banking, finance and capital markets. He has also specialised in project financing, securitisation, debt restructuring, and derivatives. He has a strong track record in banking and finance transactions, which have positioned him as one of the leading lawyers in his practice area. He has been recognised by Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500 and other legal publications as a highly recognised specialist in banking and finance law. . He is also a professor in Banking Law and Business Law at Universidad de San Andrés and Universidad Católica Argentina and currently is the director of the Master in Finance, Law and Corporate Governance at Universidad de San Andrés.
He graduated as a lawyer (with honours) from the University of Buenos Aires in 1995 and holds an LLM in banking and finance from Queen Mary University, London, 1998.
