Diana Okoeva and Natasha Hoston from Lewis Silkin LLP will be leading this workshop.
Diana Okoeva is a Senior Associate at Lewis Silkin in London, UK. She specializes in US immigration and nationality law. Diana’s focus is on business immigration, high-net-worth immigration, acquisition and loss of US citizenship and consular practice.
Diana is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and serves on a number of AILA committees. Diana is a frequent speaker on US immigration law, speaking to audiences of peers, clients, and other professionals, both in the UK and internationally. Her recent AILA engagements include chairing the AILA EMEA Chapter Conference in London, speaking on challenging E-2 investor visa denials at the AILA Conference in Rome, speaking on inadmissibilities and waivers at the AILA Conference in Manila, leading a panel on Ethics at the AILA Conference in Prague, speaking on EB-5 investors at the AILA Conference in New York City, and speaking on investors, entrepreneurs and intracompany transfers at the AILA Conference in Athens.
Diana is admitted to the practice of law in New York, England and Wales, and Armenia. She is fluent in Russian and Armenian and conversant in French. Before starting her career as a US immigration lawyer, Diana worked for a number of years as an attorney for the Armenian government, dealing primarily with international law.
Natasha Hoston is an Associate in Lewis Silkin’s specialist immigration team. She joined Lewis Silkin in 2014, adding to 8 years of experience in advising on business immigration matters at Fragomen and Clyde & Co.
Natasha practices UK immigration and nationality law, focussing on all aspects of the Points-Based System with expertise on Tier 2 and sponsorship compliance for SMEs and start-up companies.
Natasha also deals with family-based applications for private individuals and Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) for individuals and start-ups and Tier 1 (Investor) applications for high net worth individuals.
Natasha regularly consults with Home Office policy makers and business organisations in relation to upcoming immigration changes and presents at external seminars attended by clients, peers and industry professionals. Recent speaking engagements include “Managing international immigration and Global Mobility Risk” at the Managing an International Workforce conference, presenting on Tier 1 Investors and Entrepreneurs to private client lawyers and to the American Women Lawyers’ Association on UK immigration options. Publications include “Business visitors still fifty shades of grey?” for the International Bar Association and “Employers' immigration compliance: issues for multinationals” for Practical Law magazine.
