Following continued successes in various league table rankings, The School of Law at Queen Mary recently excelled in the Guardian's University 2012 Guide. The School was ranked 4th in the UK for law. This is an even higher assessment than the Times Good University Guide 2012 and the Complete University Guide both of which placed us seventh overall in the UK.
Head of Department Peter Alldridge welcomes these superb results: "The guides are clear recognition that we offer a wonderful all round legal education. We emphasise academic excellence, and also, through our mooting, Legal Advice Centre and pro bono activities, student inter-personal and career development."
Not only has the Law School been ranked very highly in the league tables, but also by its own students. In the most recent National Student Survey (NSS), our final year undergraduate students awarded us an impressive 94% for our efforts in delivering student satisfaction. This gives Queen Mary joint highest overall satisfaction ratings within the University of London law schools. "This high rating is a reason for pride, but not for complacency. Competition for the very best students is intense, and we are always trying to improve upon what we offer our students," explains Professor Alldridge.
