School of Law excels in National Student Survey

Published:

Student satisfaction at Queen Mary’s School of Law is now at 96 per cent according to the official nationwide survey of final year students. This excellent result places Queen Mary fourth out of 92 universities.

The 2011 National Student Survey questioned UK undergraduates on various aspects of their student experience and measured overall student satisfaction.

Professor Peter Alldridge, Head of the Department of Law said: “This is a wonderful result that reflects the attention we give to our students. We will not be complacent, but will strive to innovate and improve.”

Professor Andrew Le Sueur, Director of Taught Programmes in the Department of Law, said: “This reflects well not only on the efforts of academic and support staff in the Department but also on the undergraduates themselves who make the Department such a happy and successful place”.

About the National Student Survey (NSS)

Over 260,000 final-year students took part in this year’s National Student Survey, which has been published annually since 2005 by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).

Final year undergraduates from all publicly funded Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and participating HEIs in Scotland, are invited to take part.
