On 9 November 2012, FT Alphaville reported on the progress in the litigation in New York regarding the pari passu clause and a possible ratable payment formula. In the article titled "Argentina, holdouts and finding a formula", Joseph Cotterill refers to Dr Rodrigo Olivares-Caminal's work ("The Pari Passu Interpretation in the Elliot Case: A Brilliant Strategy but an awful (mid-long term) Outcome”, Hofstra Law Review, Volume 40, Issue 39, April 2012) when assessing the strategy of sovereigns to confront holdouts.
