QMUL alumnus Tan Sri Dato' Cecil WM Abraham is offering two Queen Mary law students the opportunity to do a two-week internship at ZUL RAFIQUE & partners (ZRp) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In support of this, the Department of Law has agreed to cover the cost of a return economy airfare to Malaysia for each participant.
Each student will have the chance to work across several areas within ZUL RAFIQUE & partners (ZRp). This award winning firm is based in Kuala Lumpur and was formed in December 1999. As a result of significant growth, ZRp is now a large, broad-based commercial legal practice which has been named as the fourth largest law firm in Malaysia by Asian Legal Business.
The firm is led by its founder and Managing Partner, Dato' Zulkifly Rafique who heads the Corporate department. Tan Sri Dato' Cecil Abraham, a senior partner, oversees the Dispute Resolution practice group.
The internships will run from 11-22 August 2014. Students will be responsible for securing their own accommodation and meeting the cost of subsistence during this period. The internships are unpaid.
If you are a Queen Mary law student and interested in applying for one of these internships please forward a cover letter, a copy of your CV and a 500 word essay stating why you wish to work at ZUL RAFIQUE & partners (ZRp) to j.mccallum@qmul.ac.uk by 5pm on Friday 11 July.
