A new study group has formed for PhD students who are researching aspects of immigration and asylum law. The group aims to provide support by reading each other's work, sharing calls for papers, lectures and articles and meeting to discuss new developments in immigration and asylum law.
The group was formed by four PhD students, Yewa S Holiday and Niovi Vavoula (Queen Mary University of London), Amanda Spalding (Kings College London) and Pinar Canga (City University).
They hope to expand the group and their activities to include seminars, specialist reading groups and discussions and a conference. The group is currently based in London, but students outside London are welcome to join as the majority of the interaction will take place online.
